Bruce Irvin fined $7k for hit on Carr (2 Viewers)

The story says that he says he was fined "$7,000" for the hit. I think Irvin might be "math challeged" and rounded up to the nearest thousand. By my math, if this was his first offense, he was actually fined exactly $6,472.20.

An NFL player can only be fined a maximum of 10% of their game check for a first time offense. Irvin had been on the practice squad and had been elevated to the active roster for this one game. His game check was $64,722 for this one game.

I have also included a link for all of the roughing the passer fines so far this year. Many of these players have far higher game checks and some may be repeat offenders.

Oh, he can automatically reduce his fine by 25% if he watches a five minute video after the season. Talk about a great hourly rate!

Seems a little light for slamming him to the ground with all of hid body weight
Man, I just saw a vid of a kid getting his credentials suspended by the NFL following a Tarik Hill Celebration, where he took the phone and did a back flip then gave it back to him. NFL Told the kid, even if he didn't know the celebration was coming he shouldn't have jumped up and down following the TD.

Like what lol.

I’m sure he spends more than that on a night out with his crew

They should sign me up for one play a game. I can purposely concuss the opposing QB and walk away with a fine not more than a penny over $13.

Easy business decision for Irvin - knock out the opposing QB for the win and pay a measly $7K.

So absurdly low it's an incentive for Irvin to do it again.
