Every time I start thinking about the game and get a twinge of anxiety about the Eagles I always get this second thought, like" "Oh I just remembered"..we have BUSH!!!! And then I have this calm feeling come over me and get this confidence rush, 'cause even though Reggie has come on strong as the season progressed, he has been more often referred to as affecting the game through his use as a decoy...with Brees, Colston and Deuce carrying the brunt of the load.

I say he shows what Westbrook has and more and upstages the very talented Eagles RB. This is the game Reggie turns it upfield after motion and eats up one of the backup CB's on a fly pattern down the sidelines and uses double moves to break at least 2 long ones...Having Reggie gives me a calm feeling against the eagles....

I agree with you Nose...I'm hoping Reggie gets buck wild!!

Only thing I worry about is how RB handles the ball....Honestly...I cringe everytime I see him running with it....because he just sticks it out there away from his body, asking for it to be knocked away.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Duece and Reggie each have another 100 yard game again. I think that our being able to accomplish that against the Giants was not an anomaly. Everything is clicking at the right time. They can either put their hands up to try to stop Brees or they can focus on our running game, but I don't think they'll be able to do both. Either way, I think we'll handily exceed 400 yards of offense against the Eagles.

I'm really worried about the bye week. Can we keep the momentum? Look what happened with Ohio State tonight (go SEC!).

TC: Florida was also quiet for weeks. OSU lost because they're a weaker team. SEC!

Ohio State was off for 51 days. Obviously their coaching staff didn't have them ready, and Florida wanted this game more. That was crystal clear. Please don't compare that to a playoff bye.

You know what happened with OSU, man! An overrated team got beaten by a much better underrated team! You could have stuck one, perhaps two other SEC teams against OSU and the results would have been similar, so it wasn't just the time off that got them. Anyway, I think the time off will prove beneficial for the Saints for several reasons.

1) Payton altered the schedule based on what happened the last time we had a Bye. He's a master at getting his team ready to play in big prime-time games. Just look at Atlanta and Dallas.

2) A playoff bye week is not the same as a mid-season bye week. The intensity won't be an issue for us in the playoffs.

3) We do have a few players who will benefit from extra time to heal and rejuvenate themselves. Horn, Deuce, and several others will be much closer to full strength due to the week.

4) The Eagles are banged up, and are now playing without their pro-bowl corner. Our guys got to sit back and watch that game from home!

I'm really not concerned about the bye.

OSU and the Saints? No comparison, fortunately; they had nearly two full months away from the game, not two weeks. Also, the Saints are pro football players; they have discipline, they have all the reason in the world to train, study films, and use their time profitably. And with Payton being the disciplinarian he is, rest assured he hasn't let them loll around on their couches.

If you're concerned because of what happened against the Ravens during the regular-season bye week, consider this: the Ravens benefited from having a bye the same week as we did, while the Eagles have no such luxury. Also, Payton's corrected what he feels was a mistake in the scheduling of practice during that bye; Coach P makes few mistakes once and almost none twice. If he feels he's corrected the flaw we had during our regular season bye, I'm inclined to agree with his enviably sound judgement.

And the most important thing to remember: the Eagles are not the Ravens. Oh, don't get me wrong, they're a good team and deserve plenty of healthy respect and preparation, but they are way more beatable than the scary AFC powerhouse that the Ravens have become.

I expect the game to be a real contest, but that will be due to the Eagles' preparation and hard work, not due to the Saints' coming out flat. Not on this game; not on your life.
