So, I know we gotta do it for player health and bla bla bla but...how dare Darren Rizzi & this team get me excited about football again and then take a week off? A bunch lazy bums, I tell ya. Somebody get Gayle on the phone! This is an outrage. I know my rights!

So - What do we do with a weekend of no meaningful football? (Sorry, LSU, I don't think I can even look at your trainwreck of a season right now)

Offseason, on the other hand……..

Actually, this one should be quite interesting, with the coaching situation and the free agency period. What I really hate is the playoff season when the Saints aren’t in the playoffs.

Ahhhhhh. LSU, this has to be the most dissapointing season since the 90s before Saban took over. Yeah I get they will probably win 8 games. But alot of that came against cupcake teams. Only meaningful victory was a narrow escape against Ole Miss.

Other than that there has been 4 embarrassing losses. Yes the USC game is embarrassing because that team flat out stinks.

I’m sure the players have been looking forward to this bye week. Gives them a chance to rest and heal up. I do hate that we were on a hot streak and now have to take a week to cool off.

This will be where Rizzi makes himself to be a HC candidate. If the players come out next game still fired up ready to kill then he “may” secure his spot, if they come out flat and drop a few games then probably not.

That is a product of the NussBuss going off the side of a cliff. I am usually all about players getting to the pros as quick as they can but he needs to stay another year and learn that playing QB is just as much about the throws you don’t make as it is about making throws. He still has a lot to learn.

I agree, he has no business going to the NFL. That is no place to learn. You better pretty much know what you are doing fundamental wise

Right there is no development plan for QB’s once you go pro you are what you are and right now he is a QB has all the physical skills to play the position but makes poor decisions.

The only way to get better at decision making is being allowed to keep making decisions in football that matters.

He goes pro now he will end up just like his dad a lifelong backup. He will see action in 3 preseason games a year then struggle to be active during the regular season as someone’s 3rd QB.

Not that there is anything wrong with that you get paid a ton of $$ to run a scout team during practice but you get to keep your red jersey on and be in street clothes on game-day. Eventually he might move up to being a 2nd string QB.

I am not his life coach but he should want more for himself than that.

Yep!

And Coach Rizzi knows it too! So he’s already changed up the practice schedule for this week. The team will “practice” on Monday Tuesday n Wednesday, and will be given Thursday off for Thanksgiving.

But best believe IF da practices are sloppy, he’ll probably have practice Thursday too!

I’ve come to enjoy the zen of bye weeks. It’s a good type of break, a nice pause, and we also get to watch stress free football all day tomorrow.

Bye weeks during years like this are a time for healing. lol
