Right lol?I hear they have this great DE. He’s got really good size but never really showed much on the field because he was always hurt.
Watch Miami vs Syracuse 2024. Cam Ward vs Kyle McCord and tell me which of the two Qbs has a betterNFL skillset. If you have the patience, watch the 24 minute game highlight video that I attached. Stick with it, because Miami went up 21-0 midway through the 2nd quarter and McCord leads Syracuse back to win the game.
In 2024, Cam Ward's yards and TDs were largely derived from improvised, roll out, scramble type plays where he eventually chucked the ball downfield. Will that work in the NFL? Maybe. It will cost you a top 3 pick to find out.
McCords yards and TDs come from film study during the week, understanding defensive alignments, precision passing, pocket awareness, and timing. Will that work in the NFL? It historically has, but it will cost you anywhere from the 75th to 130th overall pick to find out. I think that we all remember someone who had a lot of the same qualities.
One QB is threatening teams that don't take him in the top 5 overall. The other is quietly waiting to reward the team that believes in him enough to draft him, wherever that happens to be. McCord has a chip on his shoulder that Ohio State put there and it has only gotten bigger as the draft "experts" overlook him. I hope that Moore and Nussmeier have their sights on McCord and don't let him get away.
Is Ward 100 plus draft spots better? You tell me.
