Can a 12 pack of Coke explode in a hot car? (1 Viewer)

I bet they cost more than my first car and certainly more than the handmedown Biz is giving his wife who may actually appreciate it. T

Hey! She is getting a 2012 Altima with less than 100k! I take care of my wife! :hihi:

yuck , the worst that happened to me was i had a ice cold slushie in my cup holder, when i got involved in a pursuit was going about 80-90 mph hit a bump and in slow motion the cup flew up into the air hit the roof of my unit turned upside down and dumped ice cold slushie from my head to my toes, i had slushie in my socks and boots .

Your wife sounds like mine.

"Hey, I want to get a little old beater truck from a guy on Craigslist for trips to Lowe's and stuff. It would be around $1000."

"OK but can it wait until next month? How I want to buy these Manolo Blahniks and they're only $600."

Yeah, she got the shoes, and I'm hauling around a lawnmower in the back of a Nissan hatchback. FML

Call coke. It happened to me on the 4th of July in 1998. A rep came out. Kept the can. Gave me 20 certificates for cases of coke and detailed my car. All the stains did not come out thiugh...

I told you soda can kill!

And I wouldn't put those things on MY feet. Those are fugly (is that thinly veiled profanity?)

Your wife must be a saint. First she lets you build your own house and take 5 years. FYI, I didn't have any grey hair when you started, but your scaffolding has aged me. Next, she'd take a coke bomb hand me down so you could get a new one. That's bizarre.

Last year my wife's Volvo hit 75k miles and my Escalade hit 100k. I told her I was thinking of getting something new and she comes home with a gl550. Now, I can't afford a new car for myself so I had mine detailed and some trim pieces fixed to feel better about it.

When we found out we were expecting in 08 I was driving a 05 Ford Sports trac. Wife had a 03 honda civic hybrid. Hers was paid for so she said I should drive the civic and trade the Pick up for an SUV she could drive our baby around in, So we got a CRV. Then two years later we were expecting again. She insists she needs a larger SUV for multiple kids. So we traded the CRV for a honda Pilot. then 2 years later we were expecting again, and we traded the pilot for a QX56. She had to have 2nd row bucket seats, a DVD player, and as fancy a kid mobile as the other moms in carpool. I was still driving the 03 civic hybrid. Finally the transmission went out last summer and I got a new car. A 1995 Toyota Camry. Paid $2500.00 for it. It cranks right up every time, air blows colder than in my wife's QX. My wife tries to keep up with the joneses like it her job.

Stop having babies!

Stop having babies!

We are done. she finally got her baby girl. You wanna talk about spending money, My wife and baby girl stuff. Hair bows, shoes, special label clothing, Its quite a racket. Matilda Jane, Well dressed Wolf, and a handful of other clothing lines that I dont recall at the moment. She wears it twice and has outgrown it. Its borderline ridiculous. She has started selling the stuff she outgrows on the internet for pretty close to what she paid for it, so I dont say much anymore.

Happy wife, happy life and all that.

Yes, yes it can. All but two cans erupted violently inside my car.

On the positive side, I no longer hear any rattles.

Yes it can, but unlike coke, sprite is a silent assassin....you won't know where the "blood" is spilled until it turns brown a couple days later in high heat

Hmmm...

Right-out-of-the-cow gallon of milk on 2 week old car with cloth seats..

I "win". :\

In other words she told you to shut the hell up!

I should say, in my wife's defense, that was 5-6 years ago. Kids have changed her perspectives on things. Still, $600 shoes. I still get in the occasional dig on that one - which, to be honest, kinda makes it worth it.

I was moving (probably in 2001) and I had a bunch of stuff in the hatch back of my RX7. one of the items was 2 six packs of Who Dat rootbeer. I left the stuff back there most of the day, and when I went to unload it, most of them had exploded, except 3 of them. two of the survivors tops and bottoms were bubbled up, so only one survived undamaged, which I still have. I think I bought them in the early 90's.

anyone else remember these?
