N/S Cardinals traded Isaiah Simmons for a 7th round pick to the Giants (1 Viewer)

Giants got him oddly cheap. I wonder if there were any conflicts within the organization. He didn't live up to top 10 pick expectations but he's been far from a bust.

I was watching highlights of one of the Cards preseason games and they had the audio from the Cards announcers. They were very down on Simmons. "Another missed tackle by Simmons." "Simmons with bad coverage again." Maybe they're glad to get anything for him.

Simmons did have a pick six against Andy Dalton last year. Clearly the Cardinals are a dysfunctional organization, maybe the worst in the NFL, and they were going to cut Simmons and traded him away for peanuts likely to lower the cap hit.

They gave up on him only after 3 seasons. That's pretty sad.
And yet on the SSF, the call is regularly heard to give up on guys in their first training camp...

Meanwhile Simmons is a tweener who can't fit the new regime's plans. The fact he was worth no more than a 7th to anyone in the league tells you how well he fits any other team as well.

and the fire sale continues as they trade of an olineman...any ody want any cards players?

Still has 2 years/$29 million on his contract.
lol yeah I was just saying, doesn't make a ton of sense cap wise and with the depth we have in the secondary but would be fun to see Tyrann and Budda on the field at the same time
