Have any of yall ever made cherry bounce before? I'd like to make a pretty large batch to serve in a restaurant and was wondering if any off you had any recipes you like to use. There are of bunch of variations on line, and bourbon seems to be the preferred liquor.

Never heard of it.

Never heard of it before, but it seems interesting. Bad memories of overindulgence notwithstanding.

Alter the liquor base to fit your taste. Vodka keeps the cherry flavor very true; rum adds sweetness and a tropical touch; cognac creates the taste of an intense cherry wine; bourbon or rye makes a smoky and fruity bounce.

I prefer 1 part cherry cold medicine to 3 parts sprite... maybe with a few Jolly Rancher candies thrown in as a garnish.

My Grandfather used to make this. Unfortunately he died in 1989 so I don't know his recipe. The Washington post article above is helpful though. I am thinking of making this but I'm not sure which liquor to make it with. I'm leaning towards Bourbon or Rye. Suggestions?
