Christmas tree trunk split - and of course toppled at midnight (1 Viewer)

So the good news- they will absolutely replace. Very apologetic.

on the "TiL" tip: Apparently trees coming down form North Carolina have this issue- has to do with coming from cold to S LA climate and they tend to split. He said they have about 25% of trees do this. Normally they id those trees and they are off to side, said more than likely mine was split further up trunk ( couldnt see without thru branches ) and the split finally made way down to bottom.

Truck comes tomorrow so will be able to get new one at no cost.

Worked out well. Now i move on to reconstructing the handprint ornaments - with duct tape.

Funny- Last Friday ran to Costco- had my wifes card. Older guy at door said "sir you need to go to Customer Service and have them issue you your own card" im like "oh ok"
10 min later I walk back up, show him my card, scan and start walking in. He stops me. Says " i just want to thank you for not cussing or pitching a fit when i asked you to get your own card". I was like "what do you mean??? you are welcome but huh?" He said that over last 24 hrs he has been yelled and cussed at for simply telling folks they needed their own card. I was saddened but doesnt surprise me any longer.

i had my wifes card. I didnt get one originally when we signed up - just her- im on account i just figured i would just use hers to get in.

they have scanners now at the front door before you are allowed to walk in. No longer just some person vaguely looking at a card you flash... but regardless... Costco is stupid crazy with the way they handle the membership... but whatever it seems to work because people put up with being harassed by Costco employees for cards or not standing in the right spot or waiting outside....

It sucks about your kids' ornaments, hopefully you can McGyver them back to life, but this is what happens when you don't leave out milk and cookies at night for Mariah starting on Dec 1st...

I go to BJs not Costco, before I got my own card I would use my mother's, then later girlfriend

That's when I would go to self checkout. A couple times I forgot and they just scanned the card, didn't even look
