Good call Jaws
They should have a rule about thatThe Niners will get better, they only lost today because of the crowd noise.
He is probably laughing even louder somewhere in Missouri.
The skin on his biceps will dehydrate from him not kissing it this year.
What he said. Also, Q is a possession receiver. If you have a CB who can play as physical as he can, he loses his advantage in getting open. Aside from that, you take away Vernon with a hamstring, and Colin really has no one to throw to. Teams figured out how to defend the "read option" fad, and now with lack of legitimate targets stretching the field, the Niners are facing defenses who don't have to defend the field horizontally and vertically. They can play close to the LOS, and stop the run on the way to the QB, without worry of getting beat deep.
I think Colin is a very good QB, even if you take away his read option. Like Tom Brady, he is in desperate need of a WR. If I were one of those teams, I'd grab Andy Tanner in a heartbeat. Tanner won't stretch the field, but that little dude is like a poor man's Wes Welker (or Lance Moore), and you can't have too many slippery WR's who run crisp routes and catch everything thrown in their vicinity.
I've really been waiting to hear someone grabs him to their active roster. That young man deserves a shot, and I'd love to see him have it with Drew, but not at the cost of an injury to one of our guys.
Anyways, SF got punched in the mouth. Green Bay forgot what pass coverage was, and didn't beat Boldin at his own game-- by getting physical with him and not letting him box them out and use his body to his advantage. Everyone that's turned on the tape since decided they weren't going to let that happen. Seattle has big physical corners, so it was no surprise to see him shut down there. The surprise was that Indy found someone on their roster capable of mugging Boldin, I thought it would be Vernon's little brother, but for the most part is was someone else. Good for them.
And I am extremely glad the refs are calling Whitner on his dirty ****. That play where he knocked Pierre out cold-- I know a RB isn't defenseless, nor is he afforded the same protections a WR and QB gets, but ******* SPHEREING a guy is still a personal foul, in all levels of football, as long as I can remember. And while Pierre was unconscious and dropped the ball because I guy used the crown of his helmet and launched his body like a sphere into Pierre's head, the Refs dropped the ball by not giving us first and goal for a blatant personal foul.
The worst thing about his rise last season has been all the horrible commercials and radio ads he's doing. He has the charisma of a turnip and the acting ability of a rock. Watching him and Joe Flacco talk about who stole the McDonald's Mighty Wings may be the least believable display of human interaction ever recorded.
Maybe now that he's falling back to Earth we'll have a little less of that awfulness.
Funny how many people hate Colin Kaepernick on this board, but defend Griffin and make every excuse for any other option QB in the league.
are you aware of our history with the 49ers? They used to be in our division and we never got past them and they recently kept us from our second Superbowl. Who on this board could possibly like him while he plays for them?
