This is how I KNOW that the NFL doesn’t fix games. There’s no way the league would have purposely missed out on putting the right matchup that the entire world really wanted to see. To deliberately put the wrong two teams in the SuperBowl would have been the worst business decision in the history of business decisions. And sure enough, LIII was the lowest rated SuperBowl since the turn of the millennium.
