I think we assumed that it was DA that didn't like or wasn't happy with Perry, but given that the Saints have made no move to bring him back with DA gone, it seems likely that Kubiak wasn't much of a fan of him either. And given how long he has been in Denver now, it seems unlikely that he is going to get a call up from the PS there.
I mentioned this in another Perry conversation, but Kubiak said, when talking about Rattler, that he didn't believe in the "gamer" label. That you have to see it in practice and that they felt like they had seen that with Rattler, and that's why they had confidence in him.
Extrapolating from that, there was some negative reporting on Perry from practices and so, if keeping with the same logic, that could have hurt him with Kubiak. But then it's hard to isolate any opinion/decision about Perry and not evaluate that against the decision to keep and play Tipton. Both are young, both can get better, but Perry has at least shown up in regular season games. Tipton, so far, doesn't look like he belongs on an NFL 53 man roster.
Not a big deal, perhaps, and time will eventually provide the answers, but unless there was more that went into making the decision, it's questionable.
