Could the Bears actually help the Saints attain the #1 Seed as in 2009? (2 Viewers)

Had the Saints beaten the Eagles, Seattle's game fate against the 49ers would not be a factor. Only a Saints win and Packers loss would be in play for the #1 seed.

Yeah, it’s crazy. For all the hand-wringing over that loss to Philly (and I was just as guilty), all it’s changed is that we need a heavily favored Seattle team to beat SF.

We would’ve still needed to beat Carolina and would’ve still needed Chicago to beat GB.

Seattle beating 49ers is infinitely more likely than Green Bay losing to the Bears.

So, watch both win and we somehow lose our game somehow.

Thought that’s how it went, and I was peeved at Hartley too. Thank God he made the one that mattered a few weeks later.

And don't forget the 3 record-setting FGs in the Super Bowl.

From an article in Bleacher Report:
Garrett Hartley is the 23 year old field goal kicker for the New Orleans Saints. And at just 23 years of age, he has set a new Super Bowl record by recording three field goals all from 40 plus yards (46, 44, and 47). Hartley hitting those kicks was an enormous momentum changer for the Saints throughout this ball game.

Plus a tie by the packers would be as good as a loss as long as we win, but now a tie is as good as a win for them.

Don't get your hopes up because Aaron Rodgers wasn't the QB that the Bears will be facing on Sunday.

The NFL is going to do whatever has to be done to make sure that the golden boy gets every bounce and every break they can give him.

Enough with the conspiracy theories. It’s tiring and if you honestly think it’s rigged, why would you keep watching games?

Do you EVER watch the Packers play? I'm still pissed about the game against the Saints back in September!! The REAL score in that game was the Saints 31................the Packers 20 and the refs 17!!

It's not just the bad calls against the Saints that I was pissed about it was also the calls that should have been called against the Packers and weren't. Do you remember the horse collar tackle called on Malcolm Jenkins when the replay clearly showed that it was nowhere near a horse collar tackle.

Do you remember the PI call on Marcus Williams on a clearly uncatchable ball that sailed about 12 yards out of bounds? And twice when Aaron Rodgers is about to get sacked and he just throws that ball out of the field of play and no intentional grounding called!!

There were 5 defensive calls against the Saints in that game on third downs that gave the Packers first downs. 11 flags on the Saints and 2 on the Packers in that game.

Did you watch last Sunday night when the Titans were flagged for being offsides on a 4th down and they blocked a kick? Even Dean Blandino said it was a bad call and should NOT have been called. But what happened?...........................fresh set of downs for the Packers!!

Those are not isolated................the Packers have been getting just about every call and every benefit of the doubt the entire season but if you want to believe that it's just conspiracy then hey.....................whatever helps you sleep at night scooter!!

Wrong. If GB ties with CHI they end up with a .800 winning percentage and the best the Saints could do is .750

I thought we had the #1 seed locked up wit the Washington win in 09. Isn't that why we rested our key players and lost 3 straight?
No, we just won the division with that win.

So I wasn’t wrong. You just said I was wrong but then confirmed my statement to be right. A tie for GB is as good as a win because even with a tie, no one else can catch them. Thats what I said.

Your statement was that "a tie by the Packers was as good as a loss" I took that to mean a loss for the Packers not the Saints since you failed to add in that the tie would be a loss for the Saints.

You should’ve read the post i replied to because he set the scenario as if the saints had beat the eagles. And i said “would be” as good as a loss but...
Read my whole statement in context and it will make sense. Instead of A stand aline post. Thats why i included the post i was responding to.

Here's how I remember it. We tried to beat the Cowboys to go 14-0 but didn't and shut it down after having everything sewed up at 13-1. I didn't think we needed any "help".
