Countdown to London (1 Viewer)

I personally cannot believe that you guy are pumped about going to London for a football game. I personally cannot aford to go to London. However I would not go If I could. This is not the way to celebrate the fact that we are losing a home game. I don't know about you but I would rather have 75000 screaming Saints fans in the superdome than maybe 5000 Saints fans, 5000 Charger fans and 80000 fans who think a football is round watching my Saints during one of there home games. So If you want to try to make a good thing out off a bad situation fine, but there is no way I can be pumped about losing a home game.

i dunno what to say except my WhoDat has no limits, and i would rather spend 2 grand and fly to another country to support my team than let them go there alone and it really be an away game.

after all, its not like the players chose to play in london. if you wanna make a statement about the game, petition the NFL and the Saints owners, dont boycott the team. they still need the crowd.

Chill out!

You need to take a chill pill and get over the fact that the Saints lost a home game this year. Keep your fingers crossed that we pick up that home game in the playoffs.
If you can't afford to go to London to see the game, join the club with the hundreds of thousands of other Saints fans. The only reason I'm going is because I have frequent flier miles to take care of my flight. This also gives me the opportunity to see Europe. Everything else is just LAGNIAPPE!

The meaning of this game is to promote the NFL throughout Europe. Be happy that the Saints fans that we have in Europe get to the them play without having to fly across the ocean. Also, think of the number of fans that New Orleans will gain (both as a city and as a franchise) due to this exposure. You'd be surprised at how many people across the pond know about American football.

Granted, I wish they could have picked any game OTHER than the SD game for London. Why couldn't we play Oakland out there? It's too bad Drew can't face his old team in front of the Superdome crowd. I also don't like the fact that the schedule has us on the road for 40+ days. That certainly could have been handled better.

Got my tickets!!! And the tailgate tickets as well!!
I'm in Club Wembley End Zone section as well. Looks like there'll be a lot of us!

Well Virgil its good to see that you are in the area I am in. For those who are going over check NFLUK.com and there is an International Series for 2008 on the Forum. Many from thestates are on the forum discussing their plans, parties, etc. It is getting pretty wild on there with everyone discussing the game. I am sorry that ticket holders will lose a home game but I am sure there will be many many brits there to support our Saints.

Garda, have you recieved your tickets yet? I am curious as to whether anyone in the States who ordered from Ticketmaster has received their tickets yet. My order was supposed to have been dispatched over a week ago and shipped via FedEX. Still haven't seen them. :jpshakehead:

Be aware that it has been announced that NFLUK.com will be down from 7 pm GMT today and until tomorrow morning (GMT)

Mine arrived by FedEx to Denmark a few days ago - took me by surprised because Ticketmaster had said that I would receive an e-mail with tracking number and delivery date. Well I never received anything - just a card saying they had been there and left again :rant:So I had to call them and make arrangement for alternative delivery

i picked mine up at the Saints Training Facility. i even videoed it. hopefully my friends can get it cut and edited with some appropriate music so i can post it on youtube before i leave

Please tell me that you were dressed up in your Optimus garb when picking up your London tickets from Airline Drive. THAT would have been funny!

I'm so freakin' excited, I can't even stand it!!:hihi:

I leave Dallas, TX, USA on Wednesday. DallasRene, when did you say you're leaving?

As for you Debbie Downer graygoose1, yeah, I bummed more fans probably couldn't afford to go and we lost a 'dome game, but don't rain down on the support of those who ARE going

theEnglishSaint said there is a lot of buzz already about all things New Orleans: the music, food, etc. so I think this event will not only showcase the NFL and our beloved team, but just as importantly our beloved city, which could always use the free advertisement as a totally fun vakay spot. we could use any and all money coming into the city
