Cowboys DC Mike Zimmer Looked Lost (1 Viewer)

I remember several years back when a well known Cowboys fan youtuber named Shango was talking post Seahawks beatdown. They humiliated the Boys doing pretty much what we did. He described them as thuggish and how they ran the ball at will and the Cowboys were just too soft and dainty to stop it. We bullied them exactly like that. The Cowboys are rarely ever a physically tough team. They are flashy and depend on starpower. Almost as if they expect their aura as a team of legendary history to give them advantage to starstruck opponents. But they are just a bunch of dudes on the field like our guys and they can be exploited.

Ah, that's the guy I was looking for! I hadn't watched him in a while. He goes off at about 2:39. At some point, he called this a paradigm shifting defeat.

Kubiak threw everything plus the kitchen sink at him. I forgot how amazing it is to have a play caller who knows how to keep defenses guessing. Our guys had so much space to work. It’s night and day difference from last year. I’m not sure defensive coordinators are ready for it.
I don’t think that’s half of what KK is able to do with his scheme.

Once we had a good lead, he probably held back some of the things he’ll likely do in later games.

Zimmer struggles against the run. In fact most DCs do. They can shut down the big plays mostly but they cant defeat clever nasty will to run it down your defenses throat.
His defense is supposed to be built to stop the run, which is why he was brought into Dallas. Last year Dallas could get to the QB and held up well on the backend, but teams with good schemes just ran all over them, like GB and SF.

Doesn’t seem to be working this year either.

Reminded me of the Patriot beatdown the Superbowl year!
Same. But here's the thing, I had said previously that I think yesterday's game at Dallas has now superceded my previous favorite game at Dallas when Payton beat Parcells. And I'm okay with that. We've been needing some new regular season favorite games!

This game became an instant classic.

I totally agree!!! I bet even Coach K’s a lil surprised with how well things have been going!

But it all starts with the O in da run game, n right now it’s clicking! Other than pre snap motions, there’s not alotta “smoke n mirrors”. Just executing the call, blocking n being more PHYSICAL than da opposing D! And once we get a good lead, we’re more than happy to jus run da clock n pound on folk!!!

Love it!!!
