N/S Cowboys has spoken to Deion Sanders about their head coach job; talks to continue (1 Viewer)

Sanders is fantastic with the kids as a motivator and pseudo father figure, but I don’t see him translating well to the NFL. Then again, if you can coach, you can coach. It would be an interesting decision that would bring Dallas back into the spotlight.

I'm sure he got a lot of recruits just because he's Deion Sanders, but it doesn't work that way in the NFL.

Agreed. Still, I wouldn’t count Prime out as an NFL coach, but why leave? He’s tailor made for college coaching. He could create a legacy at Colorado.

I'd like the move. I don’t think Deion would be as had as some you think he would. He is a leader, a proven winner, HOF player, God fearing man, and for all of the "attention" he gets, he hasn't had a bunch of trouble follow him.

Many NFL players are still "kids" so it's not like half of the guys in the locker room are unreachable. For those over 30, he has the skins on the wall. Incompetence & Disrespect are two things that lose a locker room quickly. I don't think Deion is either.

We're still betting against Deion Sanders huh? Third times a charm I guess.
Personally I've enjoyed watching Colorado the last few years, but you're saying that as if he's been winning national championships.

He's done an amazing job getting 2 schools at 2 different levels pointed in the right direction. Very impressive, no doubt. With that said, he doesn't seem to be attempting to finish what he's started, if he's already wanting to jump to the NFL.

I think there’s a more likely reason than money. Since the 80s, the man has called himself “Prime Time.” He’s always wanted to be on the biggest stage possible. That’s not the U of Colorado.

I think he weighs what he has at Colorado where’s in charge against what’s at Dallas where he would have virtually no control and ultimately stays at Colorado. I’ll bet he consults Saban before he makes a final decision.
