I played a few games of this last night and it's alright. It's not something I see myself playing every night, but it's not all bad (I originally took a shot at BC2 here, but decided I didn't want to hear uproar and pop cry so I took it out). Hit detection is ok, like mauer said, controls are a little wonky. Having to use the d-pad to switch to grenades is stupid. The special abilities are pretty useless from the games I played. Invisibility doesn't work, I saw guys coming from a mile away. That nanosuit power-up thing (LB) doesn't really do anything, but from what I understand it is upgradeable.

The air stomp ability is pretty money, though. When you're in the air, you can press B and come down with a vicious stomp that has about a 5 foot kill radius. I got a double kill last night with it that made me high five myself.

I'm gonna play a few more games tonight to try to get a better feel for it.

Oh, and for Crytek to be touting how awesome the graphics are, I was pretty disappointed. Halo and Blops are both prettier than this.

to be fair, it is a multiplayer demo....there have been plenty of games where the demo didn't look as good as the final game


oh and, Crysis 2 is said to perform better on the ps3

This game sucks. Controls are wonky as hell, I feel like I'm playing with a PS3 controller.

I tend to agree. I played a few games tonight and it's just a mess and the controls are wonky. There doesn't seem to be any point to he various "perks" and the idea of having to switch to a grenade with the D-Pad before throwing it is terarded. The graphics are fine. They fall in line with all the modern stuff like Blops and Reach, but it's nothing special.
