Mike Jenkins hoping to be traded, will skip Cowboys OTAs - NFL.com

He is on the last year of his rookie contract at 1.05 million, which is really cheap for a guy that can be a good nickel CB. He even has the talent to put pressure on P. Robinson as a starter. CB is our biggest weakness on the depth chart. I think Jenkins would be well worth a 6th round pick in a trade even if we only keep him one year.

He's not terrible. Only thing is he's skipping because he knows he wouldn't be starting. Bad sign if he doesn't want to work for it. A starting position wouldn't be guaranteed here so I don't know if this would be a good place for him

Y'all thought Newman was terrible... Jenkins had a nice rookie year but since then he has sucked. If the idiot Cowboy fans want him gone I REALLY don't want him here. We'll be OK with what we got.

He's sitting out OTA's because he doesn't want to be their nickle CB. Only logical move would be to trade for him while he's on the last year of his contract so he can be our nickle CB. I can see that move working out great. /sarcasm

Jenkins isn't a starting CB for Dallas? Newman is gone, I know they drafted a guy, who's there starting tandem?

Well, first, putting pressure on Patrick Robinson wouldn't be all that hard, and yes, we need more veteran depth. Problem with Jenkins is that the Saints usually don't go for the whining crybaby players. We are going through some tough times right now for taking chances on a few players that obviously have turned on the team and ratted out the coaches and players so I think the coaches are going to pay more attention to that attribute of a player.
