Dan Orlovsky (3 Viewers)

dissapoints me evertime someone uses that angle, they sucked playing, so they can't analyze game for crap. just sour grapes. as was stated, payton wasn't the greatest pro qb.. but he sure a pretty good coach.

some people can't adjust to speed of game, some just don't have physical tools. doesn't mean mental tools aren't there when given time.
i never got why they have dan orlovsky though.
forum, loves to bash people. just to bash them.

shows much lack of maturity.

I emailed ESPN the following
"
I watched get up this morning and all of the people on the show the saints were the best team in the nfc after what they did to the Bucs and yesterday to the falcons.
Dan Orlovsky said, though the saints beat the bucs twice, they are still the best team. Please to Mr. Orlovsky, nobody really values the opinion of someone who played quarterback for 13 years, only threw for 3100 yards, completed 58 percent of his passes and ran 10 yards out of his own endzone. He'll trent dilfer won a superbowl and is now coaching high-school football in Tennessee but ESPN gives this goober a jock? Where do I apply?"

I read the thread title and just said to myself "oh boy" without even having to read what he said.

This dude is so far gone in his opinions.

ESPN has devolved into utter mediocrity.
They left mediocre at a rest stop a few years back. ESPN seems determined to try to make sports radio impossible for anyone with a glimmer of knowledge to enjoy.

That was him? I remember that play! OMG. The look on his face when he realized, finally, Oh, fudge. Now I understand him so much better why he's always trying to be the cool guy. He is always trying to live that down in his mind .... but he never will.

I love that in the thumbnail of the video, even the Vikings mascot is pointing it out and surely dying of laughter under that mask.

This is clearly not their target audience and hasn't been since, like you said, back at that rest stop.

Orlovsky has been on the Tampa train since Brady signed and dived into excuses for them after we beat them twice (the first time we beat them he banged the "Give them time. They showed their potential in this loss" excuse, the second time we beat them he said "it was the coaches fault. Not Tom. They will gameplan better if they face the Saints again") And when they barely beat the Giants he used the "Championship resolve. Great fight" rhetoric while that same week saying we were "in trouble" because we barely beat the Bears.

His bias is obvious. Unless Tampa severely falls off, he'll be on their train all season.

how the hell is a quarterback that played 13 years, had 3100 yards passing and a 58 percent completion percentage qualified to be on a sports show and judge teams. Watching get up this morning every one on the show agree d the saints are the best team in the nfc but this idiot says even though the saints beat them twice, the Bucs Are the best team

It's the person, not the credentials that disqualify someone from having valid opinions. Orlovsky has more NFL QB experience than 99.999 of people, yet his opinions are worthless because he's an idiot.

It's a bit like Howard Cosell put it years ago. Something called the "jock-ocracy." It's where any old meathead who played football for a little while suddenly gets an announcing gig or TV show, regardless of their apparent lack of communcations skills or actual football knowledge.

Well, coach Payton was not a very good QB but sure can run an offense.

Orlovsky is just there for the hot takes, though.

And because it is fun to watch, here it is again :hihi:

So I was looking into this game more because why not. And the opposing QB that game is none other than Gus Frerotte another bonehead clip Hall of Famer for this gem:

At least Gus had the good sense not to further besmirch his name by becoming a terrible football analyst. However when looking at his wikipedia page I did come across this:

"Frerotte joined Coraopolis, Pennsylvania-based startup RC21X as the Vice President of Brain Health Initiatives."

<---- This GUY!!! VP of Brain Health Initiatives

Running in back of the endzone like that and then becoming an analyst=does not compute. Most guys in gym class would know better than that.

Speak that truth, they are hot garbage!!

He listed "concussion expert" on his resumé.
You have to know brain damage to fight brain damage.
