Krull is overhyped by the fans. Of the 4 TE's we have (Johnson, Moreau, Graham, and Hill), as a TE he's maybe better than Hill as a receiver but Hill brings blocking, rushing, and passing to the table.

The Saints have 4 TEs that are better. He likely wouldn't even be active for most games. Why is this a big deal? The Saints are very deep at TE.

I just do not consider Taysom a tight end, in any way shape or form.

Assuming he signed to their practice squad. Which means we can steal him back if we really wanted to keep him ala Cameron Brate years ago when we poached him from Tampa and Tampa ended up signing him to their main roster a couple weeks later.

That legit upsets me, first time I’ve been mad at Sean. Hopefully this move doesn’t bite us else I’ll be sick for awhile.

Felt this deserved its own thread as a lot of us were high on Krull.

We know from Trautman that Payton likes TEs who drop a lot of passes.

I know, he did have a talent and was worth keeping on the PS.

I agree with that. But, he wasn't beating out JG. If Jimmy only plays 1 year, it might not have been the best move. But, I don't think that's the case. I like Krull too, but I just don't see room for him on the roster.

I don’t think he was claimed right? He was technically a free agent and chose Denver. I would bet we offered him a PS spot but he chose to be on an active roster. Makes sense, there was no room for a 5th TE on ours so I’m not sure what else the Saints were supposed to do here? Who do you cut to have a 5th developmental TE?

EDIT: he’s on their practice square so I got that wrong. Still, not sure what you do if that’s where he wants to go other than cut a player to put him on the 53.

Hmm, yeah, I'm not positive, either. I haven't seen it reported he was claimed off waivers and the tweet you shared doesn't indicate that. Maybe Denver is making another move to get him on the 53, though, or had a spot open?

My guess without knowing yet is that he choose to sign with DEN--likely PS.
So we can go after him, now or later, if we want to give up a roster spot.
His path is cleaner in DEN.
