Darren Rizzi makes coaching staff changes on D-Line and run defense; adds asst ST coach (2 Viewers)

I totally expect to see an extremely animated coach Rizzi on the Saints sideline in the games to come. I'm not sure how many new Rizzi memes will be created, but it will be fun to see what will end up as new avatars on our member accounts. :hihi:

The activation period he's explaining is interesting. Rizzi has now made it mandatory for guys to go through that "warm-up" period, where it was originally by choice. Explained activation period is just a fancy term for warm-up. Something as simple as that could help w/ soft tissue injuries.

Meanwhile when DA was asked about it his answer was "were looking into it" and when asked if anything was imminent he'd say "no" And yet here comes Rizzi, 2 days in, and he's like yeah this should be mandatory.

It's frickin crazy!!

I certainly think Rizzi will make the games more fun to watch, and our team will suddenly take on a new identity, but ultimately we are just too bruised and battered to expect to compete with the first place Falcons.

Yes but it would also be a very Atlanta thing to do for them to be the ones the Saints snap their losing streak against.

Ha!!! That's a good move, whatever Grantham was doing wasn't working.

I reallyyyyyyyy like this move. Wish we could keep Hodges but he might be gone after the year.

Yeah, its funny sometimes how intuitive the fan base is on things. None of us have any idea what they do at practice, but there was a thread a few weeks ago questioning what the Dline was doing.

I think the most annoying thing as a fan is we have access to some of the tools and analytics that the NFL uses. So when you have access to that data, and you can see "why" some things are going wrong, and you know the team can see it to, but they do nothing. It's infuriating.
