I've seen three Achilles tears on TV the very moment it happened and they all looked exactly the same the way ankle suddenly 'over-flexed'. There was no doubt that the tendon failed under the load put upon it. The way Dejounte hobbled off the court without flexing his foot was confirmation that the Achilles was torn and that he is done for the season. I didn't need the official word to know what had just happened. It was obvious.

Yep torn achilles. He’ll never be the same. Now we’ll have to pay his salary for the next years for a much lesser player (plus the two first round picks we gave up). Meanwhile Dyson will be collecting all-nba defense honors.
