It should’ve easily been 4-0 if our starting QB at the time was productive after the 1Q vs. Carolina.

6 of 7 post-bye matchups this season are against .400-or-worst teams, similar to 3 of 4 matchups against .400 teams after last season’s bye.

DA’s 3-1 rec last year indicates the Saints will go 5-2, 4-3 at the very worst, after the bye against 4-6 Atl (x2), 7-2 Det, 1-8 Car, 2-8 NYG, 3-6 LAR, and likely-4-6 TB.

It’s not really about faith or no faith in DA. The Saints would have to play worst than already lesser-record teams to lose most of the games after the bye. They’ve at least shown they’ll beat all <.400 opponents this season when healthy.

averaging 16.25 points in those games. let's hope the defense can carry us again. smh.
Different QB and lesser drive sustainability last year in those games.

We’re scoring 26 points per game in our last 4 games. 21.4 per game on the season.

Offense has been carrying the defense in the last 4 games. Both have gotten off to slow starts. But the offense had to climb out of big first half holes that the defense put us in.

We’ll squeak out a win and everyone will be talking playoffs and they’ve turned the page then they’ll get throttled the next week and so on and so on until the season ends and Mickey announced that he’s extending carr through 2029 and Dennis Allen is getting a raise and oh yeah we had to get rid of Rasheed because we’re adding 4 more years to cam Jordan’s contract.

Dennis will win one, lose one, win one, lose one.
My nickname for him is now Teeter as in teeter totter.
That sounds like a 4-3 stretch in that W/L pattern and would likely win the division.

2 of these opponents are losing almost all of their games (Carolina & NYG). We beat Carolina already; they’re still finding footing with Bryce Young.

Allen is 2-0 versus Atlanta and 1-0 vs. Rams, who are 3-6 and on a 3 game losing streak. 2nd Bucs meeting will be a must-win revenge game vs. Mayfield & co.

This is the least time to doubt DA based on the opponents and his postbye record. If we think DA is giving games away, almost all of those opponents are doing it much worse.

Not wanting to be over optimistic, or overly negative. I'm gonna throw out 3-4. Can see a possible 4-3, maybe 5-2 if they get it together. Better team than record.

So we win 1 playoff game and lose to the cowboys

Win 1
Lose 1
Win 1
Lose 1

Someone pointed out recently that DA is 1-11 against teams that are .500 and above. The one win coming against the Minshew led Eagles last season.

The schedule sets up nicely for DA as the rest of our opponents are mostly under .500 teams. So I’m not going to get my hopes up if we go on some kind of run. In the end I expect DA to win this poor division and get trounced in the first playoff game at home.

Allen’s really around 2-4 against teams above .500. Half of those teams in the “1-11” weren’t above .500 at the time of the matchup. A lot of them were 2-3, 3-4, and 3-6 and pulled out a close W against average Saints offensive talent.

They finished their seasons with winning records, but they weren’t winning teams when we played them. It doesn’t really give a good indication of what Allen can do against good teams since he didn’t have his own true QB selection in most of those games.
