Dennis Allen is not an average HC. He is historically and statistically terrible (1 Viewer)

I can't believe I'm seeing such blasphemy on this site.

Dennis Allen is a treasure and we are lucky to have him.

*salutes*
You’re right. He’s never been seen in the same room as Batman. Now that the secret is out. Que the Bat signal……..better days are ahead

He should have NEVER been hired in the first place.

I blame Payton for that he should've never recommended him for the head coaching position. Sure maybe defensive corrdinator or secondary coach but not as a head coach. I think Payton recommeded Allen to stick it to Loomis and the orginization. Quite fitting Payton is going to end Dennis Allen head coaching stint with the Saints if the Broncos win Thursday.

I fear we'll go on another tear at the end of the season like last year, providing the mirage of competitiveness, and it will earn DA another year that he doesn't deserve.

Whatever happens, they won't remove him until after the season. It's not how they operate.
That's good, we need losses.

Posted this in another thread, but it deserves its own IMO.

NFL coaches who have coached at least 75 games with the lowest career win percentage.

1. Joe Bugel - .300
2. Marion Campbell - .300
3. John McCaky - .335
4. Romeo Crennel - .337
5. Dennis Allen - . 342

So he's a top 5 All Time Worst coach for guys who were given multiple years.

If you just go all time, including one and done, he's 18th worse.

By the end of this season, he'll vault up the stinker board. If he goes 3-8 or worse, he will be the third worst coach of all time with 75 games coached.

He's an All Time Terrible head coach. Not bad, like historically, awful.
Moving on up! Doing what we do!!!
