Dennis Allen: It’s time for the growing pains to “be done with” on offense. (No coaching changes) (1 Viewer)

Getting another season by barely winning the division.
By him not making the necessary changes, we are not winning the division.
If that dude can’t look at PC from last year to this year, and not think something is wrong, then he should get his *** canned as well.
I appreciate his little subliminal message he said yesterday….. “there’s no one from outside the building that can come in and make a difference”. By that comment, he is 100% that Loomis will not fire him this year, when he should be. I could literally train a monkey to do a better job than DA. I’m 100% of that

You say that now, but the Falcons have Ridder and the one thing DA was able to do right is sweep the Falcons.

Our team is imploding from the inside/out. DA doesn’t seem to know how to fix it. As of right now, this is more than the product that we are putting on the field. He needs to make a drastic change and he is frozen. He’s losing the team.

I hope Loomis and Benson enjoy the empty Superdome during games, this is ultimately on them.

I have a feeling if Loomis told Gayle it was Week 18 and the Saints will be in the playoffs she would believe him.

It would be unfathomable to bring Dennis Allen back another season unless there is some miracle turn around here. Giving him another season under any other circumstance goes from Loomis gaslighting fans to actual abuse. DA took over a semi-talented team, talented enough to get you into the post-season and has crashed it to the point Michael Thomas is going on twitter and essentially throwing his QB under the bus.

With the way the division is, there is a legitimate chance the Saints are in the hunt in Week 18.

Here’s the problem that I have with this. There was a point in my career where I was promoted into a very advanced role before I was ready - I can admit that. I struggled off the bat in almost every facet of my role. After about a month of trying to “figure it out”, I started calling former coworkers and supervisors and asking for guidance and advice. I studied, I listened to sound advice, and I changed the things that I needed to in order to improve the performance of my employees and myself. We gradually improved and ultimately things worked out very well.

Why don’t some coaches like DA and others who are clearly in over their heads do the same? Are they not allowed to consult with former coaches - I know they are. Can they not look at other teams’ film and try to copy plays - we have the athletes on offense to run a lot of the plays that these successful offenses run. Tweak some things, make some changes here and there in the X’s and O’s, throw some wrinkles not named Taysom in the playbook, something.

I just don’t understand not trying to do everything you can to improve. Ok so you don’t think you have answers - seek help then. We have the players, and our coaching staff with all their flaws are not idiots - it’s mind-boggling.
Excellent response. I agree with you and had a similar experience but I was 30 yo. That was the school of hard knocks. Eventually this worked out well like you. The problem is DA is either 50 or near 50. Trying to teach an old dog new tricks is difficult.

He is a very good DC but he is clearly over his head.

That is a very good point - I just feel like you’re never too old for help, but you have to remove pride.
