It was a dumb thing to say by Carr. Why respond at all to a question like that, all it serves to do is further alienate him from the fans who pay his wages.

Nobody goes to work and says ima take less money. We as fans want a championship for investing our time just like shareholders in a company want great returns.. but yes ima work my tail off to do my part to help us reach numbers and goals but I wouldn't cut my salary, to increase the company bottom line.

I'm fine with keeping Carr another year, but don't do the easy thing and extend him to get cap compliant. Make the tough choices so we have an option to dump his contract in 2026.

Looks like Carr might not be the only overpriced veteran QB in the division next season......poses an interesting question about whether Carr should sit behind Rattler if Cousins sticks around to sit behind Penix.....

Thats the result of how the contract is structured. The better figure is the average yearly salary at the time it was signed.
