I am shocked that the undersized 3rd round draft pick from the worst QB draft class in recent memory is getting benched for a journeyman UDFA. Shocked I tell you.

Heinicke is much better than Ridder, but that's mostly relative to how poor the later is...
It's honestly unbelievable they even hitched themselves to him this off-season.
Artie is basically a caricature of a hard-o head coach. He's just bad.
Heinicke is no world beater but he can sling it some.
Still remember that playoff game a few years ago where he basically came off the street and gave Brady everything he could handle.
Mistakes will be made by him, so we'll have to capitalize.

They gave Ridder a chance and he bombed. They'll be looking at a QB next year, hopefully they make same dumb mistake the Panthers did and draft someone undersized from a big school

Taylor Heinicke was the better QB when he signed during the offseason. Our defense can take advantage of his aggressive passing style. But he’ll be a tough matchup when we face them in ATL in 3 weeks. He plays with a lot of heart.

Bingo. Dude is better than Ridder, he’s got a lot of moxie. I’m more worried about facing him than I was about Ridder.

Always thought Henikie was someone that was easy to root for. I remember watching him in the playoff game against Brady and saying “that kid had heart”. Hate to root for his demise, but he decided to play for the clowns. Major upgrade to Ridder, in my opinion.

This is a major upgrade over Ridder so I'm not following with your statement. Desmond Ridder is bad. Like 32/32 bad.

Pretty much. He single handily almost cost the Falcons the Bucs game a few weeks ago.

With the way the Saints have struggled with running QBs I really don't know how to feel about this. I think Heinicke gives them a better chance to win in general but specifically for the Saints, I just don't know.

They have good receiving weapons that have been underutilized - London and Pitts especially plus Mack Hollins and Scotty Miller. If they get there passing game going that will make Bijan, Allgeier and Patterson more dangerous. Taylor Heinicke didn't have as much to work with in D.C. and he kept them more competitive than expected. I'd rather face Ridder.

I would definitely rather face Ridder than Heinicke. Heinicke is a gamer. Kind of a smaller Ryan Fitzpatrick.
