Deuce or Turner? (1 Viewer)

I must admit, I am torn on this one. On the one hand, there would be a lot fewer question marks at RB if we got Turner, but Deuce has been a great player for us on and off the field. How does the rest of Saints nation feel about this?

Guys you dont come back like yourself after blowin both knees. He wont be able to cut nor reeally run any more. Turner can come in and start or split a lot of carries with reggie im all for turner

Deuce has been Good to us but 3 acl tears (one from ole miss) is going to affect his pereformance, period. This is a business and the team is assembled to win not to carry someone with a HUGE salary and potentially tarnished perfomance. Deuce will have to restructure to stay.

Well I would not want Turner because I think he will command a fairly large contract and Deuce's contract is going to be tough to swallow, if we cut him loose.

That said, I think Turner is clearly a superior player right now. Deuce is coming off two major knee injuries, he's getting older, and he's looked a little overweight and slow the past couple of years. I love the guy and wanted him to retire a Saint, but we have to be realistic about his chances of being a productive player again.

Additionally, there seems to be a TON a solid runningback prospects in the draft and I would feel much more comfortable about drafting a 3rd or 4th round runningback on a rookie contract than paying Turner what he'll command.

Deuce, Thomas or draft a guy in the 6th or 7th round, just don't spend money on Turner please. All he's proven is that he can run behind one of the best offensive lines in the league just like Darren Sproles did.

But, I think personally, they should get Turner, retire Deuce and make him the official running backs coach so he can stay with us in some way

Well, if we want a dominant running game, we should sign turner.

I would be very very surprised if Deuce can really be effective any longer. I love Deuce, but both knees are rebuilt......he will never be the same.

Look i know everyone wants Duce in Black and Gold but he is unrealiable if he goes down the 3rd week of the season again our running game is screwed again we need a power back to take over i love Duce to but sorry u have to do what is best for the team

I've got to agree with this... I just hope he doesn't go to the Falcons. I've always liked Turner, and it would suck to have to hate him instantly as soon as he became a Turd.
