Devastating Loss to the Rams (1 Viewer)

Running your offense through a 34 yr old gadget player wasn't sustainable. Outside of AK we don't have a single skill player that can dominate. It's a repeat of the last 3 seasons. We lack talent all over the field.

Only thing devastating about this game was losing Taysom. The score doesn’t show how much the Rams dominated the 2nd half, this game shouldn’t of been this close

I hate losing to the Rams, but it wasn't devastating. Losing Taysom was devastating. I have literally lost interest in the rest of the season. They are about to run poor Kamara into the ground.
And with Kendre Miller STILL.injured. J. Williams is almost useless in this kind of offense. Jordan Mims doesn’t seem like the answer, either.

I dont know why they threw at all. They could have run every play, and we never would have stopped them
The Rams figured that out at halftime and we saw how things went after that.

Our top two playmakers, Olave and Shaheed, are hurt. So it's not like we don't have some talent on offense. Combine an immobile, above average QB, missing your 3 starting interior OL, and your top 2 WRs and any team is going to struggle. We certainly need to add more talent on offense, particularly a true #1 WR or a pass catching TE, but we do have some talent.

And Olave was dominating before he got hurt. The dude led the league in separation by a pretty wide margin.

I don't think Miller is still injured. DA put him on IR for an injury that would have had him back 2 or 3 weeks ago. But, he will have to prove he can stay healthy after he is off of IR. Regardless, I think they need to add a RB in the draft this year somewhere in the 3rd round.

It's really not that devastating. Losing to the hapless Panthers was devastating. This game was inevitable. Some people thought that beating the Falcons and the Browns meant we were good again and it was never true. This team lacks starting talent and coaching when healthy and are so much worse with a ton of injuries. We are a bottom 5 NFC team until we can get younger talented players who fit a scheme that a good coach runs.

I feel the same, despite the disappointment of losing I thought the team played hard, I expected to lose this game......

I've been saying below for a while now, we all love TH7 but it's reality that he will be 35 and any staff that depends on him as a big part of the offense is delusional.....I would like to see more of Mims until Kendre can return....

You can argue reasonably about Grupe over Lutz, but Grupe is the least of our problems. He's had a really good year.

Heck, I was even impressed with Grupe squaring up and making that tackle. He even wrapped up with his arms, something that doesn't always happen with our DBs.

We can’t run any type of offense with this offensive line. Without McCoy they are terrible at run blocking. Draft needs to be two, maybe three offensive lineman.

Gadget player = a player good enough to play multiple positions at a high level. Why wouldn't that player be a big part of the offense.

I don't disagree, we are razor thin on the oline, but we have other needs as well....

It's not about good enough, he's plenty good, like really, really good.....it's the staying on the field part that's going to be tougher going forward....

Both WR's are certainly weapons. Olave, before concussion issues derailed his career, was a number one. Now, you have to move on as concussions are not a joke.
As to Shaheed, we were able to replace him with a WR off the street in MVS. 7 games 3 TDs and 350 yds is hardly dominant.
Injuries happen but it's not an excuse for another train wreck of a season.

Shaheed is to inconsistent to be a true #2, either keep MVS or get someone that allows him to be the slot/third WR on this team

Kamara had 112 yard on 23 carries which is 4.87 YPC against the Rams. The OL still needs to improve, but they certainly weren't terrible in run blocking yesterday.
