Did we over achieve last year and eat the cheese? (1 Viewer)

We always have one or more of these threads when things don't start the way some hoped for.

Resurrect this thread if we go 7-9. I am sure all the homers will be grilling you all week for this...
I'll resurrect this thread if the Saints make the playoffs again just to laugh at you.

Should we have drafted like a contender? Traded away picks like we were one player away? Cut our young players because we had no room on this roster to develop any raw talent?
No we ate the cake. And had it too. Great season last year. And we’re just heating up you sonnovavitch. Be patient. Don’t be a troll. It’s a very young team

This is a Saints fan site. Homers are our target audience.

It's enough that we have to put up with the unreasonable negativity from the usual suspects after losses, but after a win? No!

Have to say it again, this isn't 2017 anymore.

The Bucs and Browns are probably better than you think. Teams get better. Happens all the time no?

It's a legitimate question. I do think all our starters lollygagged around during preseason trying not to break a nail. Just give them time to establish their rhythm.

It's not a legit question 2 weeks into the season. If they're still performing the way they have by mid-season, then yeah you can ask the question. So far we had barn burner against a team that looks to be much improved in Tampa, and a hard fought win against an up and coming Cleveland team that took the Steelers to a tie in week 1. Don't forget, many people were picking the Steelers to rep the AFC in the super bowl.

We started 0-2 from 2014 through 2017. Without the Browns ex kicker, we might be 0-2 again. SP just seems to be a bit challenged getting his team really ready to play the beginning of the season.

The negativity has turned this site into a cesspool. 1-1 for the first time in half a decade and still whining. Sunday can’t come fast enough.
We have no business every posting the Atlanta or Carolina boards following a loss. I'm sure they do the same thing to us because we're just as bad.

I think I missed all your posts during the offseason when you were "telling it like it is" giving us a brutal yet insightful assessment on the sham this team was last year. /sarcasm

Excuse me for finding out I was proven wrong about this team and admitting to it while everyone is still talking about a Super Bowl.

When you are one play away from playing in the NFC championship, you are a contender and you make moves like a contender and then you go out and play the games. That is what you do and that is what the Saints did. Why would we want them to do anything else? We can all play "kitchen table GM" and speculate on what should be done but at the end of the day, there is a reason why the Saints front office and coaching staff make moves and we just talk about them.
The Saints are a talented team and they should believe that they are, expect the best of themselves and work their collective arses off to achieve their combined desired objective.
Win A Superbowl.

Can you really say you were proven wrong two games in? Talk about short memory. Last year I guess you thought the sky was falling after two games too.

I know, sometimes the glass half empty crowd of Saints and LSU fans around this state kill me. We're off to our best start in 5 seasons after 2 games, even playing without our Probowl running back, and people are talking like we're 0-8.
