That first game of the season is like the SB..the excitement, the build up, a win gives you high hopes of us having a good season. A loss, it's the longest week ever and we're going nowhere.

We're not even close. The record is held by Dallas, with 17 straight season opener wins from 1965 to 1981. We are currently tied for 22nd.

A more modern comparison would be New England, with 10 straight season opener wins from 2004 to 2013.
