Do you like music in languages that you don't understand? (1 Viewer)

I'm not much on lyrics, I'm pulled in by the music and often only pick up the lyrics that are repeated the most, or the most intelligible.

Because there's so much music available in english, I haven't heard a lot of non-english artists. But over the years, I've enjoyed the original version of 99 Luftballoons by Nena; Rico Suave by Gerardo; the german metal band Rammstein; a bunch of Norwegian death metal bands (music is great, the vocals suck, IMO); a Brazilian metal band in the mid-80's called Inox (can't understand a single word of Portugese); middle eastern scitar music and middle age gregorian chants.

Other than heavy rock, I can't predict what I will enjoy, but I do know it when I hear it!!!

Life aquatic sessions. Seu Jorge sings a bunch of Bowie songs in Portuguese

As long as the production is good and it has a nice groove I'm cool with it.

I will also add....that these "playing for change" engineers are amazing! They capture all of this stuff live right on the spot....and it sounds like a studio production.
