Do you think the Bears or Giants.. (1 Viewer)

Well I agree that we should not trade him.

But I was just curious why you thought Meachems value still sits as a first rounder, where Moores is a 3rd or 4th if we are lucky. Meachem was barely a first rounder to begin with and almost fell to the 2nd round anyways. And has not done anything to increase that value over the last 2 years.

Also isn't Meachem on the same team as Moore. How can you site weak WRs in front of Moore as contributing to his success. But not slide that over into Meachem's benefit as well. or whatever (nor good depth in front of him) was supposed to mean.

Henderson and Moore both improved last year and have developed into decent WRs. Meachem on the other hand has had a couple years less experience and a significant injury delay. Furthermore Meachem sat for much of last year behind Moore and Henderson who played well.

BTW I don't think we would take a 4th or even a late 3rd for Moore because though he is replaceable he is very consistent and an effective weapon in our system. Admittedly loosing him would hurt us a little bit, especially until another receiver steps up and becomes that consistent receiver to move he 3rd down chains (even though we have plenty of candidates for that job)

I don't think you could get a pick worthwhile for Meachem. The best you could probably do would be getting another player in return for him. Maybe a guy like Michael Bush.

Meachem would bring home a better pick than Moore would, simply because he has more "potential." Which sadly, is the biggest thing for young players in the NFL.

Meach has a lot of room to grow and get better, but Moore will never be a much better player than he is right now.

if meachem and a fourth and our thrid next year could get us a player we really like in the 2nd then i'm all for it.
