Does anyone have a sense of the “work” Derek Carr puts in? (1 Viewer)

Just my speculation, but one thing that all coaches have raved about is Jameis’ work ethic. Even DA has commented on it in the past. The problem with Jameis is his in game decision making that’ll never get fixed.

I haven’t heard a thing about Carr’s work ethic from anyone. Not saying that he doesn’t put in work, but it doesn’t seem that it’s over the top that people take the time to mention it.
Earlier in the season Kamara said Carr puts in work, but Carr wasn’t on the first AK list of players who cared, and then it seemed like a forced throw in at the back of the second list.

Brees always review plays on the sideline during games. Carr just sits there.

Yes - that kind of thing too. Drew had the tablet (or the photos pre-tablet days) in his hands as soon as he could.

Carr didn’t have a very good wonderlic score for a QB. I think we are seeing that manifesting itself out there.

Manning and Brady come to mind immediately.
Maybe I didn’t pay as much attention being they were on different teams but I don’t remember seeing clips of them going over the entire game plan on bye weeks or staying hours after replaying scenarios on the field. At least not to the extent that Drew did.
