Does it seem as if were the underdogs (1 Viewer)

No. I haven't felt like the Saints are underdogs since the first Philadelphia game. But I'm also not one who bought into all of the "No respect!"

I know what you mean....I've listened to sportsradio, read stuff on the net, watched ESPN. They all talk about how hot the Eagles are..how they're on something like a 5-6 game win streak, how great Andy Reid is, how the Eagles have all this playoff experince..but when it ultimately comes time to attach their names to a prediction most quietly pick the Saints....

Give it up. That's what these shows do. One guy picks one team, the other guy picks the other team, and they debate. If they all sat around agreeing with each other, nobody would tune in.

Bottom line. The Eagles are the wounded underdog who will come limping into NO. Everyone knows it. Stop trying to get the "us against the world" rally going and enjoy the fact that you're the playoff favorites for once.

It matter not one bit what the media are saying as this game will be decided on the field by two very solid and hot teams. I have little doubt that Coach Payton will have this special team of character ready, but I also know that Coach Reid is one of the best in the NFL and he will have his hot Eagles ready to play a great game. I only hope it is decided by the best team winning, not by turnovers or refereee calls that will leave people second guessing for months.

I think that people feel that we are the most likely to lose at of all the NFC games this weekend. I hope they start putting that out in the media everywhere. This Saint team thrives on that.

The most important factor in this game will be blitz pick-up. Johnson will be bringing it from all angles against our young, inexperienced line. Time to exploit that with some long gains of our own.

Thats it Dalton. You are correct sir. Say it loud and say it proud and make sure our players here you loud and clear. I wish there was a way I could pipe your comments right into thier locker room. Now, if we can just get the national media to see it your way everything would be perfect in the world. Come on dude get your message out to ESPN, NFLN, CNN, CNNSI, FOX and every other big time media avenue. The Saints can't take the pressure of people putting them down. They will fold in a hiccup.

Saints fans are reading too many Eagles message boards, since that's the only place we are major underdogs

I think the problem lies with Saints fans wanting to create that "us against the world" atmosphere that they've come to depend on for motivation. Sorry, but the pressure is ALL on the Saints at home, and they're most definitely the favorites.

I've been on the main Eagles message board (www.philadelphiaeagles.com) they're not discussing how they're gonna beat you guys. They're discussing more so why all the Saints fans think they're gonna dominate the game and the blowout that's predicted by "Saints fans".

You know you don't have much to talk about when your conversation is dominated by the opponent's fans!

I wish the Saints fans wouldnt be so cocky. it makes me feel uneasy sometimes. It will be a great game in a great atmosphere. We have a tough job to do but have the resources to do it. I will do my smack talkin after the game if I deem it appropriate!
