Dolphins to release 4-time Pro Bowl CB Xavier Howard (1 Viewer)

Were the 2002 Bucs, who finished 12-4 but were swept by a Saints team that matched up better versus them than just about every other team, better than the Saints that year?

I acknowledge they were the SB winners and deserve to be crowned “the best,” but on the field, who is the better team if one team has your number and beats you anytime you play them?

Just trying to hear more of your philosophy on a granular level.
The 2002 Bucs were the best team in the NFL bc they won the Super Bowl. They accomplished what every team desires every season and earned the right to be called the best that year. Like I’ve said numerous times…..it’s simple

Don't act like we didn't have the same record as Tampa- with a QB injured for half the season and Kamara missing the first few games of the season. The only reason the Saints didn't win was because of how the schedule played out and how the tiebreaker rules played out, not because Tampa was better. They weren't.
It’s not an accomplishment to make the playoffs when it’s a forced format that isn’t well thought through. Teams shouldn’t make the playoffs, ever, with more losses than wins. And to make it even more ridiculous, they’re HOSTING playoff games against teams that have a much better record, sometimes.

See: Saints vs Seahawks, 2010. Beast quake game.

Well if DA doesn't let Jordan Love come back and win in GB we would have been hosting a playoff game

Have to make the most of your opportunities. Bucs made more out of their opportunities and we fell short. It’s not a hard concept to understand

I want to see how far you're willing to go to die on this hill.

2018 Rams, 2018 Saints

Who was the better team?

We couldn’t win the worst division in the NFL, along with the easiest schedule, plus our schedule was even more easy with injuries to key players on our opposition. In a division where the QBs were Desmond Ridder, Bryce Young, and Baker Mayfield…….let that sink in for a minute
While we statistically had one of the easiest schedules in the league, the Packers, Rams, and Texans were tougher opponents than they were predicted to be, they also all made the playoffs. Preseason strength of schedule lists are mostly always garbage and either wind up way different at the end or don't tell the whole story of a team's season.
