Dr Pepper now 2nd favorite soda (2 Viewers)

when its "red" its "drank"

so the proper way to say is "n a red drank" ;)
True, 'drank' is often associated with the red type of sodas. But I was making the point that generally most of the pop orders around here is referred to as a 'coke'. :hihi:

I just want them to bring back Delaware Punch. That was my go-to when my blood sugar dropped. Come on Coca-Cola, do me a solid.

The correct answer is coke, not soda, not pop, but coke. Coke covers all brands, i.e. 'Can I have a coke?'
'Sure, do you want coke, diet coke, sprite, dr. pepper, 7up, root beer, etc?' Locals know what I'm talkin' bout, ya heard me...

Point of order: The correct answer is "soft drink". We will also take "cold drink" or "cold drank". Alternatively, you can just get a drink from the hose pipe.

Yep.
A typical New Olreanian fast food order goes something like this:
"A cheez-burga... wit two meats. Mynaize on one bread. Onion loops. 'n a red coke."

I have lived around here all my life, other than a few years in law school and grad school, and never heard the phase "red coke". I have heard "soft drink", "red drink", or "red drank", but not red coke. Calling all flavored sodas "Coke" is a southern thing, not a New Orleans thing.

And I grew up in The Parish and went to school in the 9th Ward so I'm a bit of an expert on strong Yat accents.

Why would a buy a Pepsi when I can get a Chek Cola which tastes better and is less?

The only people that I know that drink Pepsi are murderers, and degenerates.
Hello, how do you do?

I drink both Coke AND Pepsi but I prefer Pepsi. Truth is, I rarely drink anything but water, unsweet tea or iced coffee anymore.

Try it

lol

It looks like people listen to the music for the wrong reasons. I hope no one knocks on my door later. lol
I got into Suicidal Tendencies many moons ago when NOFX wasn’t hard enough, and Nad Religion seemed too preachy. I can’t honestly say that I never got into Crass, and I like it that way.

That's so funny that you said, Nad Religion was to preachy. Probably the most ironic statement ever! Their music definitely gave me things to think about, it's good to hear both sides of a topic, even if you don't agree. They have one truly bad album that I know of, it's horrific.

“I was heavily into LSD, but that’s no excuse,” Brett Gurewitz told author Steven Blush in American Hardcore.

NOFX should of retired about ten years ago, but hey, keep the lights on at the party, if you can. FAT Mike was smart to start his own label. Cokie the Clown was a good gag. There is a bunch of English Punk Bands, that flew under the radar for me, but I keep a look out. I heard of Crass, but never listened to one of their albums.

There is a bit of banter on NOFX’s album “I heard they suck live” between Fat Mike and El Jefe, where Fat Mike see’s Jefe is wearing a Crass t-shirt, and asks “but did you ever listen to them?”

I’ve since come around to Bad Religion. Their albums still slap. Stranger than Fiction, Process of Belief, and their Christmas Album are amazing.
