Draft Pick Jersey Numbers (1 Viewer)

Wow, kind of surprised Kenny Vaccaro didnt take #44. Its all good though, just glad the rooks are in the mix!

Charles Brown is under 300lbs. That seems light for a OT. None of the UDFA's have numbers yet?

Who is Jay Richardson? 6'6, 280 lb DE looks good on paper.

Who is #4 for the Saints already? Thought that Vacarro would want that # if avaliable.

New Orleans Saints ?@Saints 44s

Chase Thomas 58, Kevin Reddick 52, Elliot Mealer 61, Tim Lelito 68, Glenn Foster 74, Keavon Milton 83, Josh Hill 89, Eric Martin 55

These players want have those numbers when the season starts. Practice numbers for now. With the exception of Armstead.

I can see Johnny Vaccaro doing damage in #32. Kenny...not so much.

Ok, ok. That was my first and last Johnny Vaccaro joke.

Huh? Unless they buy or request a change to an available number, these WILL be their numbers.

To answer your question, #4 is Ryan Griffin. But as stated in the quote below, the NFL restricts what numbers players of all positions can wear.

QB's = #'s 1-19
WR's = #'s 10-19 & 80-89
DB's = #'s 20-49

And so on and so forth. That's why Reggie unsuccessfully petitioned, and couldn't use his college number of #5.

That's why teams rarely ever actually retire numbers, because there are simply not enough numbers to go around by retiring a few players at the same position. That's why teams "retire numbers but are still given out to active players".

In the NFL DBs can only wear numbers in the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Bingo.
