Just some advice in case you're planning on buying a jersey: I would wait until the season starts. Sometimes as players are cut before the season starts, numbers get shifted around a bit as more numbers become available.

Wow, kind of surprised Kenny Vaccaro didnt take #44. Its all good though, just glad the rooks are in the mix!
To answer your question, #4 is Ryan Griffin. But as stated in the quote below, the NFL restricts what numbers players of all positions can wear.
QB's = #'s 1-19
WR's = #'s 10-19 & 80-89
DB's = #'s 20-49
And so on and so forth. That's why Reggie unsuccessfully petitioned, and couldn't use his college number of #5.
That's why teams rarely ever actually retire numbers, because there are simply not enough numbers to go around by retiring a few players at the same position. That's why teams "retire numbers but are still given out to active players".
Bingo.
Elbert Mack is #44.....if he's still with us.
Ya, I thought so too. But when I checked the roster, Mack isn't on there anymore.
I never knew that, seems pretty silly if you ask me.
What's the reason for rules and restrictions on what numbers
certain positions wear?
what happens in the distant future, say 200 years from now,
when a team has numbers 1-19 retired to honor legendary
QBs who wore every number from 1 to 19?
Pretty sure his contract expired and wasn't renewed.
