Drafted Brees 8th out of 10 teams (1 Viewer)

I'm in a Yahoo league and drafted Brees in the 8/10 slot in the first round. When the Yahoo draft grade analysis came out, it said Brees was the "weakest pick in the first round. It also went on to see that he was "only an above average QB". Not sure if I can take the Yahoo professional critic seriously here.

I'm guessing you were in one or both of the 2 leagues from SR that I was in. Remember, Drew was ranked around 17 or 18 overall (2nd round) which was still the highest ranked QB in Yahoo's default rankings, I think. In both drafts today, Drew went in the 1st round, not surprising since both leagues were comprised mostly of Saints fans. But Yahoo's "expert" is probably just grading the pick based on how they had QB's ranked, again Drew being ranked highest IIRC.

I wasn't in either of the SR groups. But, yeah, I'm assuming the same as you on why they didn't like the pick. The problem I really have is saying that he was only an above average QB. They have him ranked #2 for QBs. I'm not sure how 2nd of 32+, would be "only above average" lol.
