I just dont understand to whole let's hire this OC or that DC. Just because they are good at coaching offense or defense doesn't mean that they are good at leading an entire team. Like in business when your top salesman is made sales manager. You just lost your best salesman and who says he can manage people?? That's why i think you have very poor results in hiring the best OC or DC. You need someone who can motivate guys to run through a wall for you! Then hire very good coordinators. I personally like Rizzi just like Dan Campbell he motivates men! Sean Payton was a very good offensive coach for us with Bree's as his QB but our defenses sucked!! Drew had to score 40 a game because we were giving up 35! Being a leader is more than just X's and O's.....just my opinion.

Employed mostly. But outside of Campbell and Glenn, nobody else has moved up and been successful unless you count DA when he was just the DC here. But that's one successful HC, maybe two successful DCs, and a bunch of failed offensive guys like Marrone and Lombardi.

So some success but far from everything he touches turning to gold.

Do you remember his opinion of Carmichael? I’ve never heard Brees say a negative word about anyone. I think this says more about Joe Brady than it does about Aaron Glenn.

That’s a great point. Didn’t think of it that way. Drew never speaks ill of anyone, by not mentioning Brady that does say a lot.

Drew is just being a nice guy. Kubiak did nothing to prove he could make a good head coach in the NFL.

I was thinking about Kubiak today but wondered if he would be perceived as too unproven and inexperienced. He just seems pretty low key and would not appeal to the fan base in the way that we are itching for.

Of course Drew loved Pete's offense. I think it was too complicated for a lesser QB to run without the influence of Sean being in the building. As for Kubiak, I have issues with him not making adjustments at halftime. If the offense is performing well in the first half, it just seems like he sticks with it, knowing the defense is going to make adjustments.

Glenn, yes. Kubiak, naw! I personally dont have the PTSD that some fans have about hiring coaches w/ties to the Saints & Sean Payton’s tree. Just watch how AG talks at his pressers. You’ll notice within the first few comments that the man has HC swag swirling all around him.

DA was, & has always been a soft spoken almost too nice of a guy to be a true HC. Glenn, on the other hand, seems like a dude that will pull your card & shove your walking papers up your keister if youre not doing your job. He’s been part of 2 winning cultures now, us & now the Lions. All Glenn knows is how to to win. I care nothing about the fact that he has a history w/us. Im all for AG as our HC.
