not sure what 'pertains' means in this context-- but neither you nor I nor anyone else here knows what went on with Brees and his mother, or what type of person she was-- so i would hate to try to judge him based on their relationship.

Tough for Drew and his. A sad story all around. Sad they couldn't reconcile their differences before she passed. That's always going to hurt, I'm sure. Condolences to the Brees family.

After speaking with close family members here is the latest:

They had not reconciled and Drew basically disowned his mother…some say for good reasons.

She was in trouble with the TX Attorney General over her attempt to “extort” money from small business owners. Google Chicksports Inc.

She flew to CO to visit a friend, but more realistically, to get away from the mess she recently created for herself in Austin.

She took a bunch of sleeping pills Friday night and she did not wake up this morning.

Truly... a sad day for the Brees family!!
