The Eagles have been backloading/extending contracts for a while now too. Similar to what Loomis’ has been doing for roughly 20 years. It’ll take some time but eventually the bills come due.Let’s hope this contract messes up their cap.
You mean good teams are duplicating the Saints/Loomis structure? They must be a terrible organization to be adopting methods of a losing front office. The Eagles have been backloading/extending contracts for a while now too. Kamara's contract looks like a steal, need to find him a young and cheap running mate.
Forgot the /sarcasm thingy
Many posters believe they’re smarter than the people making the decisionsIt's hilarious that people still want to dog on ML about something many teams have started doing by learning from ML.
The Eagles have historically been the team known for heavily backloading contracts. What makes Loomis’ recent strategy unique is the heavy use of restructuring bonuses to stay below the cap, while the Eagles “pre-restructure” key contracts with option bonuses. It's hilarious that people still want to dog on ML about something many teams have started doing by learning from ML.
The market is shifting and so is the game. Only Burrow had the stats this year that'd we regularly see from Brees, Brady, Manning and Rodgers. Teams are becoming more much more balanced and run heavy to combat defenses designed to stop the pass.that's crazy $$$ for an RB .... I understand the historic season Barkley just had but it'll be tough to repeat
