good post/rant



this reminded me of something i posted at the beginning of the season
that basically for convenience sake "pundits" co-opt narratives instead of creating analysis - to give entertainment not education - to keep fans comfortable and not challenge perception

Good analysis.. I never really gave much thought to how much or why the media fawns over the Saints but you make alot of good points.

It's similar to the Steelers for the past few years...outside of Big Ben's motorcycle accident there hasn't been much to make into a story so they fly under the radar until they win the Superbowl. Even then, the Cards had all the stories (Warner, never been to the SB, came out of nowhere) that the media loves but then good football won out.

Let's hope we see a repeat of that story this year.
