Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Dennis Allen is currently expected to return to the Saints for 2024.

Today’s game against the Falcons could, in theory, change that. If a horrible coaching blunder turns a win into a loss, for example, a fresh look might be warranted. For now, however, Allen is not believed to be part of the problem in New Orleans.

The Saints are confident that their fortunes will improve with enhancements to the roster, along with some cultural tweaks. The feeling is that too much blame is being placed on Allen and quarterback Derek Carr for the team’s struggles in 2023, and that Allen and Carr could be key components of a resurgence in 2024.

"Allen is not believed to be part of the problem in New Orleans."

The fact that people believe this stuns me.

There are too many "short bus" or "Forrest Gump" comments to be made for me to single out an individual one to utter here.

Allen's got to go for the Saints to find success.

Bait article for thread replies to rag on DA as usual.
Not the OPs fault. But ‘DA is safe’ is redundant rhetoric to trigger negativity at this point.

We all know Allen is safe and coming back for a while. Allen not going out his way to improve the offensive coaching staff before the season has been the problem all season.

At least they’re putting emphasis on fixing the problem in some way when the season is over. Finding the best OC is Allen’s last shot at being a HC next year and it’s practically all the team is missing. I can’t wait to see the roster enhancements and staff tweaks in the offseason.

HC and QB are the two most important items of any football team. Lattimore is probably a gone pecan, him not rushing to get back from injury and Thomas is a goner as well. Duncan just did an article that says Thomas and Lattimore need to be moved on from. Duncan aint spitballing that w/o being fed something.

I’m done with this poverty franchise until a major overhaul is done from top to bottom. Mickey Loomis is the new Bill Kuharich.

I wonder if Mickey has reached the egomaniac status to the point that he goes back and listens to his own WWL "Coaches show" every week.
