Even missing playoffs Allen deemed “safe” (1 Viewer)

We already knew that. That’s why i think people hoping we lose today are weird. Nothing will come out of it.
Well it will only prove our point about celebrating mediocrity. It’s a moral victory I’m ok with bc I only want what is best for the team, even if the FO doesn’t

Saints won seven games last year, probably nine this year. I bet even with the offense improving next season they win no more than eight games. In other words, more of the same when it comes to W/L for Saints fans.

I get it. A lot of us want change. But if this was pre Brees era Saints all the fans would be excited just to have a chance at a division title/playoff birth.

After seeing LSU spending upward to $7 million to clean out defensive staff and make a really good hire on paper.

Feeling really good about them and wanting a championship.

Just seems Saints organization is pretty content being mediocre and getting 10 wins on a good day. I don't live forever. So, I really don't want waste years of my life on a half hearted product.

As much as I want him fired about a week ago I came to the realization that coach bozo will be back next year so I’m going forward to enjoy this weeks game like I normally do for Falcons week

Duncan aint spitballing that w/o being fed something.
Well it makes sense. Lattimores replacement is on the roster. He’s missed 17 games in two seasons and Yiadom has proven he’s should be a 3rd CB.

Meanwhile Thomas through your $150 million Dollar QB under the bus publicly and is a shell of his former self.

its a logical conclusion to draw w/ out inside info

Exactly. We just need to accept we're gonna have another Dennis Allen year and pull for us to get that 4 seed.

Allen not going out his way to improve the offensive coaching staff before the season has been the problem all season.

He probably doesn't have the same level of control that Payton had when he was coach. It wouldn't surprise me if he had to get Loomis' approval before he is able to make any personnel decisions with coaches.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Dennis Allen is currently expected to return to the Saints for 2024.

Today’s game against the Falcons could, in theory, change that. If a horrible coaching blunder turns a win into a loss, for example, a fresh look might be warranted. For now, however, Allen is not believed to be part of the problem in New Orleans.

The Saints are confident that their fortunes will improve with enhancements to the roster, along with some cultural tweaks. The feeling is that too much blame is being placed on Allen and quarterback Derek Carr for the team’s struggles in 2023, and that Allen and Carr could be key components of a resurgence in 2024.

If Allen and Carr are not part of the problem and shouldn’t get most of the blame, then the problem is higher than them. More background noise next season on game day if we only need to tweak culture or get a 1st oline/dline that plays like a udfa.

Loomis didn’t have the guts to do what is right. Dennis Allen is on his Raiders arc now.

The off-season is going to be a disaster, especially with certain vets on the team. Allen is going to roll into 2024 facing a schedule of actual football teams and will get beat up and down the field.

Allen will be gone before mid season. The interviews for OC are basically delayed coaching interviews as whoever gets the OC position will be the interim coach.
