I don’t like how everyone is lethargic and not matching his energy. Even though I know they are listening and in tune lol. I think soon we will have everybody matching it outwardly as well. They will mirror the captain loved seeing DC take leadership and at least kept in communication with the team throughout adversity.

Yea Im not sure what to think. I know Carr took a shot to the head like a baseball bat. And he got up and shook it off like nothing. I can’t think of any Qb that could pop up that quickly. He may be more animated being mic’d up, and his teamates aren’t used to it? But I agree, the rest of the team needs to get hyped with him. I know if he can get Penning to match his energy, then Penn8ng might come out of his shell and start manhandling

Latt, AK, Olave et al, know to dial it up and down as needed

I 'think" we're about to see CGM break out and that will be awesome to see his "flexing" again; then? I believe AK coming back into the mix will really hype it all up! When TH#7 does his thing it's always a boost and #80? Well, we KNOW he'll be Super Pumped once he gets his chance! I ain't even worried about lethargy! We've got some seasoned Vets who WANT and NEED this season to GEAUX FULL TILT "BEASTING"~! JMHO....

How do you know how energetic the other players are from that clip? Carr is the only one being followed around with a mic.

MT was pretty energetic every time he made a play. The whole defense brought it.

I was impressed with how he seemed to control his release to avoid hitting lineman and injuring himself. Sounds like a guy that loves playing when you hear him talk to the opposition.

Something just feels so incredibly different with him behind center. It’s almost like what we wished throughout Brees’s prime: to have a field general like DB play with an elite defense. Carr seems to have “it” with our system. I know it’s one game, but to hear coaches and Mickey also speak on how different the energy is with his arrival is truly saying something.

I’m trying to stay even tempered given how early in the Carr experiment this is. But, man, it really does feel like something magical is brewing. Hopefully, this isn’t a mirage and actually proves to be true for a decade to come.
