Yup, even did the throat slash at a player on the sidelines. Believe it was against the Falcons ironically. Devante Freeman was the player possibly?!?!

To play devil’s advocate, I only remember Payton doing that when he had a record and a championship to back it up.
Arthur Smith is 7-11 in his second year with a bottom tier franchise.

Technically it was a choking gesture....right before WE choked the game away IIRC. Sean was a master of timing, SKOL clap before MM...he was like a reverse jinx Jedi.

He was trash talking Cam in a presser before the game. Look, I love trash talking but not when it comes from the coach. I don't know anything about this guy but I know I don't like him. I hate coaches that "live" at midfield.

I am surprised (in reality probably not surprised) that they did throw a flag for him being on the field as much and as far out as he was.

His dad was the founder and CEO of Fed-Ex and is worth over $4.5 billion.

That one still blows me away... how/why did he decide on coaching as a career? I doubt money is a primary motivating factor in his career...

Does he really love football, or just trying to do anything to make his own legacy apart from his father?

Will he own an NFL team some day?
