Fans doing the Wave while our offense is on the field (16 Viewers)

It just shows how aloof (and some just straight up dumb) a lot of our fans are by being completely unaware of what’s going on.

And for everyone saying it’s “new fans” that haven’t been to games, no. It’s not a first time thing, it’s not even a “just this year” thing, this has been occurring for years. It’s literally happened with Brees on the field having to quiet the crowd coming out of the huddle. It’s embarrassing how little situational awareness our “fans” have sometimes. And it ONLY happens when we’re on offense, I’ve never seen it happen when we were on defense.

Between that and fans cheering when we decide to go for it on 4th down almost all the way up until the snap, it’s sad. Again, no situational awareness.

I lost my mind when that happened. I was several drinks in and I raised enough ruckus that nobody in my section stood up. This is not new. And it seems to start mid-second half in the visitors loge section. Embarrassing!!!

I understand and respect the frustration with the lack of "fan etiquette" however, we have to look at it from a different perspective. This team isn't going anywhere, the tickets were dirt cheap so anyone could go and at this point in the season and being in New Orleans, Saints games are just another bar for Joe Anyone to stop in, drink and have a good time. The fan competitiveness is gone.

I could hear at home just how empty the stands were. I figure the last home game against the hapless Raiders will see tickets being given away and the Dome half full. It'll be a party but not for the reason we all want.

The Rams win and the devastating loss of Taysom Hill all but put the final nail in the 2024 season. Might as well try and have fun while watching them play out the season.........
Section 320 was about 15% empty at kickoff and remained so. No Rams fans in our section, but just wait until the Raiders come to town.

Proof positive that it's not so much the substance being imbibed,...it's the personality of the person itself that's in control of their actions. A knowledgeable fan will still remember the basics of fandom even after a few drinks, for instance :)

I said some words that caused my wife to change seats with my daughter :)

As fans, we gotta do better. During the late game drive, with our offense working down the field, being down by just 7, our fans decide to do the wave. Folks, you don’t do crap like that while our offense is on the field. They flashed “Quiet please, men at work” on the video boards, multiple times, but to no avail. The only thing that stopped it was when Taysom got hurt. It’s embarrassing that our fans don’t understand simple etiquette. This is the third time I’ve seen that happen this year, and every single time, it’s been when our offense has been on the field. I understand that we are not a playoff team, but when your team has the ball, know when to cheer and when to be quiet. It’s hard enough for this team to win against the opposing team on the field, don’t make it more difficult by being nonsensical in the stands.
Lmao. The wave is in baseball

If you’ve ever been in a row or section where they are trying to start the wave, you know it can take a while before it actually starts going. They probably started it a good 5-10 minutes before it got going, which was a horrible moment for it to get going.

All I care about is that my tickets sell, I don’t care to who. Either a Saints fan or not, I’m just happy to see them put to use by someone who then gets to experience watching their team play live

100% agree... I go nuts yelling at folks to stop the wave when we are on offense... to no avail of course....

After 50+ years folks we should know better
