Fat lady finally sang šŸŽ¶ [Saints Eliminated] (57 Viewers)

Absolutely. Super Bowl in New Orleans and one of the easiest schedules we seen in a long time, that joker fouled it up.
Saints in perfect conditions, healthy roster and a good HC were never going to the Superbowl. Playoffs yes.

Second, i hope No finishes strong, I don't care about draft position. I'm not okay with losing just to lose. It's more important that
N.O picks correctly than get draft position.

I like to watch my favorite team win, maybe you donā€™t but keep that over there

I still want to see the Saints play hard, not much left to spoil really but winning is always better than not winning
I LOVE to watch my favorite team win, but this year keeping DA through mid-season was not the way to win. I'm left counting on next year.

If you want to see them win when it counts we'll need an infusion of the best talent in each round in the draft as we can get. If you want to see them win at the end of a lost season you must not care about the future very much. Which is fine, but maybe you can keep THAT over there.
And not firing Allen before September is not how to succeed a winning season, either.

My stances on these things are established and immutable:

I donā€™t whine over draft position
When the players care, the fans care
Losing on purpose creates losers
We only get 17 of these a year, I would like to see as much winning as possible
I am not a pretend general manager, I do not trouble myself with the stress of being a participant without the capacity to make an impact (or the financial benefit) - while youā€™re pretending you call the shots and make the tough calls (and, for emphasis: you donā€™t), Iā€™m thinking about the kid gathered with family watching in the only social setting that brings family together, Iā€™m thinking about the hardworking single parent who used their meager Christmas bonus to take their kid and kidā€™s best friend to their first game, Iā€™m thinking about people who love this team with all their heart who have one last chance to watch before they pass away - my hope is that all these people experience the itinerant ease that comes with a win
ā€œWho cares more about the futureā€ is not a measuring contest I have any interest in participating in, so you can have that if you want it, but it doesnā€™t mean anything to me

Please don't assume about us wanting to be losers on purpose. We always love to go to the playoffs the most, it just needs to be the right time. I had that feeling after the Cowboys game and the wheels have completely busted off the bus ever since.

Of course nobody wants the team itself to lose on purpose. It's a good thing none of us actually play for the team. Nobody on here is pretending they call the shots. We're on a fan forum, not in a team meeting. And fans have a lot of different preferences, priorities and opinions and they are expressed here day in and day out. What you did with your "maybe you donā€™t but keep that over there" comment was put your own opinion above every other fan on here and told us to shut up in so many words. I dished it back to you with your own words and you had to write novel about it.

Atlantaā€™s win against the Giants officially eliminated the Saints from playoff contention.

Hopefully, weā€™ll get a great performance from Rattler with our game at GB on MNF, despite mathematical elimination from the playoffs.

:gosaints:
The fat lady has been warming up her ā€˜pipesā€™ for the last two months. Itā€™s all about the future now.
