Besides the carnivore pizzas, I like spinach with tomatos, onion, mushrooms, and feta cheese. Mushrooms are optional, though (for the fungus haters).

Dad used to take me to LSU games when I was wee. We used to always stop somewhere and get a pepperoni pie with green peppers on it. The first couple of times I didn't like it and I remembered I witched about it. In typical Dad fashion, he kept ordering it the same way anyhow. I think he somehow knew I would like it eventually. To this day I love that combo.

So did a quick camping with the boys this weekend
I made hobo pizza (store bought crust with store bought sauce and pepperoni and cheese, folded like a calzone, wrapped in foil , placed over fire)
It low-key sucked (but I’d done it twice before and it was pretty good )
Anyway I got a sourdough loaf from the host of the campsite and I just cut a slice, then put the same sauce, meat, cheese that I had used and put it in toaster oven and it was DANG good

Oddly enough the place that used to house uptown pizza now has a mid city pizza in it (small place on Claiborne across from the stadium?)

The one I'm talking about was on St. Charles, a couple blocks from St. Carrollton... I want to say corner of Burdette St? Been a long time.

ETA: I just checked the map. There is an Italian restaurant on St. Charles and Fern, so most likely that's were that Uptown Pizza used to be.

The good old days of the Pizza Wars. Pizza Man and Domino's parked small trucks next to the dorms with ready made cheese and pepperoni pizzas.
